Nature of works and special features relevant to this Contract :
1)The construction of a 700mm Diameter steel gravity supply pipeline 64.4km in length from Solwa village to a new storage reservoir situated on the hill at Old Shinyanga town;
2)The construction of an 18 MI concrete storage reservoir at Old Shinyanga;
3)The construction of large diameter (400 to 900mm Dia.) steel gravity supply pipelines of 28 km in length from the storage resersoir at Old Shinyanga to four concrete water towers in Shinyanga;
4)A total of four water towers and a water distribution network comprising approximately 329 km of small diameter PVC-U and 36 km of larger diameter steel pipes;
5)Instrumentation and re-chlorination facilities;
6)Associated and ancillary works;
7)Construction of off-takes to villages along the main pipeline.
